After tasting our way through Ocean’s farm we headed off to grab dinner at the coveted Mama’s Fish House. Mama’s website says Open Table has coined them the “Second most popular restaurant in the US”. Wow now that’s a impressive stat. But it is not hard to see why!
This is a place that definitely needs a reservation but I was able to switch nights around midweek by getting on their cancel list. Many people recommended this spot and it hit our expectations on all levels – food, service and atmosphere.
My meal was a poached opakapaka with jasmine rice, it was delicious and delicate. Mama’s sources all of their fish locally on a daily basis. The meal was amazing. The cocktail of choice was a Strawberry Guava Fizz with Ocean Vodka. Yum.
This was not a cheap meal but it was worthy of the cost. The oceanfront view, sunset and ambience made for a perfect cap to our trip!
